Revenge is a dish best served cold

A theory states that

People observe the colours of the day only at its beginnings and ends, but to me it's quite clear that a day merges through a multitude of shades and intonations, with each passing moment. A single hour can consist of thousands of different colours. Waxy yellows, cloud-spat blues. Murky darknesses. I make a point to notice them.

The calm before the storm

Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Many times, when something occurs, we think that it should not have happened this particular way. That is why we think - when we experience defeat, the death of a beloved one... -, that everything has finished. But that is not true. That is, always, a new beginning, because greatness is reached, not when everything goes well, but when we have been deceived, when sadness has invaded you, when life expects too much of you. Therefore, only when being in the greatest depth of the valley, can one know the magnificence of standing on the peak of the mountain.

Filthy water cannot be washed

From too much love of living,
From hope and fear set free,
We thank with brief thanksgiving,
Whatever Gods may be
That no man lives forever,
That dead men rise up never;
That even the weariest river
Winds somewhere safe to sea.

The Garden of Proserpine

Are you hoping for a miracle?

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour

William Blake

Man is what he believes

When the night falls, my heart falls

Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like.
